Planning and Services – CFFM will do a home ignition zone structure assessment based on NFPA guidelines and examine the immediate (0’ to 5’), intermediate (5’ to 30’), and extended (30’ to edge) zones of your property and evaluate them for risks and determine a plan of action. CFFM will work closely with you to determine the best approach possible for your timeline, budget, and level of urgency on your property. Beyond the initial consultation and mitigation work, CFFM offers annual maintenance to keep vegetation and fuels low prior to wildfire season. Multiple options for the processing of the fuels will be offered, which include spreading chipped slash on-site, removing chips for disposal, bucking of timber for firewood, log haul off, and log piling. CFFM is happy to work with your insurance provider as well.
CFFM offers land clearing, full tree removal, fuel break creation, and vegetation treatment across your entire property. Utilizing the high flow hydraulic skid steer with a masticating head and several attachments CFFM can perform almost any job. CFFM can provide forest restoration plans, evaluate lateral continuity from above with drones, and provide road access through larger properties with our expertise, and much more.
Once a fire has swept through the work truly begins. CFFM will help restore land by removing unwanted burned timber and vegetation and help restore ground as quickly as possible. Using our heavier equipment CFFM hopes to minimize the post fire affects that include flash floods, watershed impacts, and unusable land. CFFM hopes to be able to utilize a mobile curtain burner in the future which will allow for cleaner burning of partially burned timber and vegetation and the creation of biochar which can be used in multiple downstream markets. This will reduce emissions greatly when compared to pile burning.
We utilize modern, agile, and efficient equipment to complete mitigation work on your property. Our equipment includes a John Deere 333G dual hydraulic skid steer with a drum mulcher, forestry winch, shear and grapple, and chipper attachment.
